New reports emerging from China suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s unreleased Snapdragon 820 System on Chip (SoC) processor. According to Chinese website MyDrivers, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 System on Chip (SoC). The Chinese website also states that Snapdragon 820 will be manufactured using a 14nm process, just like the Exynos 7420 which powers on Samsung’s newest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Though this is just a rumour, but if proved true, this could mean that Qualcomm will be manufacturing the 820 SoC using the 14nm process. Other leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will sport a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display and feature a 20.7MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter. The Mi 5 is expected to come with its own MIUI OS based on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be made out of metal and offer 4G LTE connectivity. Xiaomi plans to release the Mi 5 in November 2015
