A humungous number of K-Pop fans have also taken part in the protest. These online fans along with the help of Anonymous K-pop divisions have successfully crashed the iWatch app that was set up by the Dallas police department. So here’s everything you need to know about the crashing of iWatch App by K-pop fans.
K-Pop Fans Flooded iWatch App With FanCam Videos
After the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, the Dallas police department encouraged citizens in the city to send in video footage of “illegal activity from the protests” that are presently happening in Dallas using the iWatch application.
— Dallas Police Dept (@DallasPD) May 31, 2020 Anonymous and several other activists directed K-Pop fans to spam the iWatch application and to use the hashtag #OpFanCam while doing so. K-Pop fans crashed the application by posting hundreds of FanCam videos.
— Anonymous (@YourAnonCentral) June 2, 2020 Soon after the advent of countless FanCam videos, Dallas Police Departement took down the application stating that “Due to technical difficulties iWatch Dallas app will be down temporarily.”
— Dallas Police Dept (@DallasPD) May 31, 2020 Derek Chauvin the police officer who committed the crime has since been sacked and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. Sadly, the other three officers who were a part of this inhuman murder haven’t been charged yet. In addition to the iWatch app, Anonymous has also initiated operations to spam police apps with FanCams videos to protect protester identities are underway. RIP George Floyd :”(
